Changes to the MRCP Exam
MRCP Part 2 Written Examination
“To enhance further the quality of the MRCP Part 2, the Examination will consist of 3 papers from December 2005 Each paper will be 3 hours long and delivered over the course of 2 days: Wednesday (two papers) and (one paper)”.
Each paper will contain approximately 90 questions in the same format as the current Examination and will provide the opportunity to test the subject matter more extensively. The Examination will also include pre-test questions (that is questions which will not count towards a candidate’s final score), in line with the assessment criteria promulgated by the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB).” RCP Website
