There are two important aspects of the course:
1. Mock Examiniations
Candidates are given the opportunity to view a slide for about 1 minute or answer a Case History in 2 minutes. They are then invited to answer a series of MCQ questions. This will enable candidates to develop their ability to think quickly under pressure. These skills are being called for more and more in the Exam.
2. Answers and discussion
Questions set and the discussion that follows will also include management of clinical situations and 'best investigation'. These are now being set more frequently in the Exam.
The majority of slides will be supplemented with other slides showing a range of abnormals contrasted with the normal. For example it would be very useful to view a normal blood film and then compare it with the different types of leukaemias.
